With the intention of expanding our experience of 'Matchmove' techniques, our team set about planning this short sequence. It features a 3D computer model of a Spitfire and some footage we shot with a low-cost hand held camera at a location near our Studio in Nottingham. The camera shake is intentional as we wanted to test out how much our 'Matchmove' software could actually do, so we made it pretty tough. We also created sky-maps while on location so that we could use them to define the lighting, which helps to give the scene a natural feel.
